La Lali cie is an artistic company founded by performer and choreographer Justine Goussot .
While its focus is based on the practice of dance, it is primarily multidisciplinary, exploring the intersection of theater, music, and technological media.
Its scope of action extends through both autonomous creations and collaborations with other companies, and it also evolves in close connection with the contemporary music sector.
The company's artistic identity is rooted in two major orientations: on one hand, a recurrent exploration linking contemporary art with ancient and traditional forms, and on the other, a non-hierarchical approach to artistic disciplines where music, theater, technology, and dance merge with the intention of creating new forms and an immersive experience for the audience.
Justine Goussot has studied classical piano, jazz, vocal techniques, philosophy, and musicology She studied contemporary dance and choreography in the professional program of the Bordeaux Conservatory, and she holds the diploma of "professeur de danse contemporaine" awarded by the French Ministry of Culture.
She traveled for many years in Asia to gather choreographic material related to traditional and ritualistic forms such as Sufi, Kalbeliya, Bharatanatyam, and Vajra, eventually specializing in Kathak, a classical Indian dance.
Her versatility has allowed her to develop her activities as a choreographer, performer, and educator in various fields: Opera productions (Bordeaux, Saint-Étienne, Paris, and Athens), Theater (Jérôme Sansom, Christofer Bocker, Avstronavtes company),
Music (Nefeli Stamatogiannopoulou, Nikolas Tzortzis, "Klezmer Yunan" music band), and even the academic field, being invited several times to give workshops, collaborate, and present her works.
Her innovative approach is evident in pieces like "[Taal in]-[Taal out]", which blends Kathak and contemporary dance with algorithmic choreographic scoring.
